Patiently Waiting....

My OGTT results turned out ok, baby is now cephalic. I'm not gaining much weight, though I've been busy eating..haha!

This weekend, I'll be on my 38 weeks of pregnancy. I have been patiently waiting for the big day to arrive. Doctor told me to walk everyday. It seems that walking ain't an easy task for me now, the feeling is very different compared to my former weeks. I pee a lot.

I wish to make a safe and normal delivery this year end. Thank you Lord for all the blessings you have given us. We can't thank you enough for all of it. We hope to have a great year ahead.

Advance Merry Christmas everyone!

I can feel Christmas coming

Yesterday after work, when I walked out of the building, I felt a cold breeze. I guess that's because we are approaching the month of December. Suddenly, after forgetting about Christmas because of the storms that contributed to alot of loss to our fellow Filipinos, I kind of go back to the excitement of the coming Holidays. Top reason would be because we are so happy to see our baby come last week of Dec or early January.

Eventhough I've been to much stress at work, I still find the joy of having my little one. I can feel him more from my tummy and his movements are more visible from the outside. Tomorrow I'll be having my last OGTT and final ultrasound on my 35th week. I just pray that everything will be okay.

May everyone from my family and friends find their own peace and happiness this coming Christmas. God bless everyone!

My Baby Boy at 6 Months

On my 24th week, I decided to have my Congenital Anomaly Scan to check my baby's development. The head, spine, heart, kidneys, feet, hand, face, stomach, umbilical cord, amniotic fluid were examined. I was happy to know that everything is normal with my little one. We also had the chance to confirm the gender if it is really a girl when seen at four months, and it turned out to be a boy. His Dad was so delighted that we ended up shopping for the baby afterwards.

This coming Saturday, I'm turning six and a half months. The baby's kick are now more recognizable. My appetite is now coming back although I still have to watch out on my sugar intake. At week 30, I will be having my OGTT again. I hope everything else will go well until my delivery. I can't wait to see my baby. Hopefully, we will be able to achieve our target savings on my 9th month.

I'm on my 5th Month

I have been busy working lately that I wasn't able to update my blog. Anyways, I took the OGTT and was found negative of gestational diabetes. I had to pee 4 times every one hour and the nurse had to take a blood sample every hour as well. I didn't eat for almost 12 hours.

This month, I have been so excited about our baby coming, I can already feel the baby move, it's makes me super happy. Here are some of the items I have gotten from Baby Armstrong, Garfield, Pigeon and Billy Bob. I have gotten the funny pacifier from ebay because it isn't available locally in the market. I can't wait for my baby to come out and be at 6 months for me to try the pacifier on. On the clothes and blankets, I decided to get neutral colors at first because we are not yet sure about the gender of the baby, though the doctor told us that it might be a girl.

Shopping for the baby again

Last Saturday, me and hubby went to SM and found this cute crib set which consists of one head pillow, two hotdog pillows, one blanket and one bed cover/comforter. I asked hubby's permission to buy it and a new maternity pants for myself. Fortunately he said yes! (because I know that he does not want me to buy a lot of things until I am on my 7th month)

Baby Stuff

Last week, I went to SM to buy gifts for PJ's nephew. As an excited soon to be mom, I did not resist the feeling of buying some for my baby.

I picked the Precious Moments set of feeding bottles and Sesame Street's Interchangeable Training Cup as hubby's gift to his nephew.

Here are some of the items that I bought for our little one. As promised I bought BPA free bottles from Sesame Street, Chicco and Ai-non. I still have a lot to buy and I was surprised that having bought only a few items, I already spent 2,500 pesos.

On Buying New Clothes

I've been wanting to buy new sets of clothes since I'm getting bigger na. Grabe, the maternity clothes are indeed expensive specially the pants.

Anyways, I enjoyed shopping with my hubby. I ended up buying ten sets of blouse/dress and two maternity pants. I'm super happy with what I bought.

Savings for the Baby

We still have 7 months to prepare for our baby. Aside form the ten and five peso coins that we save, we have a monthly allowance that we put into our passbook. I'm thinking that these will be part of our expenses come December or January.

1. Baby Clothes and shoes
2. Feeding Bottles and Sterilizer
3. Diaper Bag
4. Baby Carrier
5. Baby Crib
6. Stroller
7. Toiletries
8. Baby pillows and blankets
9. Baby Grooming Set
10. Milk and Vaccination
11. Hospital Bills for the Delivery
12. Baby's Baptism

I already started looking at the specific brand of baby products that I want for my baby. Hopefully, hubby and I will be able to save enough money to buy all of those things. I hope that ninongs and ninangs will be generous so we won't buy all of the baby needs by ourselves. hehe!

Jang Ja-yeon from Boys Over Flower Committed Suicide

Last week, mom bought a DVD of Boys Over Flower. My mom is even more excited than the daughter. haha! So every time I go home after work and every weekend, I spend my time watching that Koreanovela. I find it cute, funny and entertaining that's why I got hooked with it.

It is only today that I found out about Jang Ja-Yeon committing suicide, she is one of those school girls in the Koreanovela who's super attracted to F4. Her suicide letter revealed that she was forced to have sex with powerful industry directors.

Full details on the said suicide can be found on this site:

I Love You Baby!

I'm on my 8th week of pregnancy now. I'm having morning sickness, I can't eat right. The smell of pizza irritates me. My pimples start to show as if I am a teenager. My behavior is extreme, it's either I'm very happy or super upset. I always feel sleepy and tired. In short, I feel lazy most of the times. I know that this is hard for me, but all these I can endure because I have you my little one. I love you baby!

Your soon to be ninangs, ninongs, tito, tita, lolo and lola are even more excited than your own mom and dad. Thank you for coming into our life, I could never be this happy without you. To celebrate this month, I bought a small feeding bottle for you. Although, it is only now that I have learned about the BPA free feeding bottles (bisphenol A in the plastics used to make baby bottles causes behavioral changes in babies) . Don't worry I'll replace this with Avent or Thinkbaby.

Doodle

A doodle is a drawing made while a person's attention is on something else or preoccupied with other things. It's amazing how someone can draw while they are bored on the phone, daydreaming on a class or just simply thinking of other stuff aside from drawing.

I hope to see more shirts and bags with doodle.

For the Love of Royce

The other day, our manager gave us Royce Champagne and I was intrigued when she said that it costs around 600 pesos. To my amazement, I did not hesitate to try a single bar. And wow I super loved the fine texture.

I found out that Royce is a Japanese chocolate. It can be bought locally from Rockwell and Greenhills.

Since today is my payday, I rewarded myself with two flavors, bitter and cherry. Yay! Goodbye diet! haha!

Paper Clay Art

We were walking around SM when we saw this thing. I told my husband that I want to try this one out since I'm fond of playing with clays. My hubby picked this design for me.

The package includes the image on board, several colors of paper clay and two sticks.

You just need to apply the desired colors on the pattern below using the two sticks, after 20-30 minutes the clay will harden and will produce an embossed like art. If the clay won't stick on the board, you can add some water on the paper clay.

It took me 5 hours to make this one. Like it took forever. Hirap pala, hehe! I remember tuloy my pre school days were I am really excited to apply colors on my coloring books.

Singapore FAQs

Immigration

The officer normally grants the visitor a 14 or 30 day social visit pass. I'm not quite sure if there are instances where they give less than 14 days for tourists.

Transportation

MRT and LRT System Map can be found on each train station, however it is still advisable to have a map on hand. The link below will show you the map which you can print for your own reference.

There are designated stops for the buses, you can't just flag them anywhere. These vehicles are numbered.

The most expensive way of transportation is Taxi. Drivers provides receipt after each ride.

(Hindi po nangongontrata ang mga taxi dun. hehe!)

A singapore tourist pass which provides unlimited ride to train and buses can also be bought, but if you are to visit two sites a day, you won't get to maximize the S$8 per day fee. It will still be cheaper to buy a single journey ticket.

On every vehicle, the driver is on the right side so be careful when crossing the street, always look to your left and right.

Where to Stay

Of course there are lots of Hotel in Singapore, if you have enough money to spend, there's Fullerton Hotel, Meritus Mandarin and other big hotels waiting for you. But if you don't have much, you can try the backpacker's hostel ranging from S$20 to S$38 dollars (including breakfast). So always try to search the net for the most affordable one if you're on a tight budget, anyway you will always be out of your room.

The Food

Chips at Sentosa

Seven Eleven almost anywhere

Pasta Fusion & Venezia from Bugis Junction

Sweddish Meatballs from Ikea

From Vivo City Food Court

Thai Express Bistro

KFC near Pasir Ris

Kabayan & Merlion Cookies from Lucky Plaza

Ice cream with Wafer on Esplanade sidewalk

Food court in a mall near Choa Chu Kang

Law of Singapore

Singapore has strict rules. I found the post below on train stations and buses.

Basic violations includes no jaywalking, no littering, no chewing gum, not flushing the toilet.
